Yes, $600 is a joke but why didn’t Trump demand $2,000 *before* this bill was voted on? He knows that Republicans aren’t going to agree to $2,000 so these after-the-fact demands are a scam to try and make Trump look good.

I was just commenting when someone said it wasn't congress' fault, it is. It should have been passed and fought for months ago, but the election was more important that the people they claim to represent.

Congress certainly takes some of the blame for the tardiness of relief but Trump suddenly springing to the "rescue" is utter bullshit. If he was so concerned he could have done something months ago. He even dangled an EO and didn't deliver.
