Why are they trying to convince us that 1. We should pardon the potato to bring the country together (it won't work) 2. No one wants to see him dragged out kicking and screaming if he doesn't leave on his own (Nope, I'm good on the kicking and screaming).

Never understood the whole pardoning thing. Surely he needs to admit his guilt before that's even an option? In my opinion he should face every charge and serve every second. You are right it won't calm his cult in anyway to pardon him and sets a poor precedent.

worse case scenario is that there are things in other politicians closet they don't want to come out. Best case scenario is that they expect him to just take his medicine and say 'o well, thanks for the pardon'. Of course he never will because that's not how narcissism works
