Serious question time.... We have compulsory voting here in Australia... once you turn 18, you are obliged to be checked off at a polling place. For those places where voting is optional, and you don't... why is that? Curious! thankyou!
Not mandatory here in the UK and it leads to piss poor turnouts. We also don't have proportional representation so the government rarely represents a majority but can push through laws.
