Are we? At the moment on deaths per million pop Italy, Sain, France, Belgium, Netherlands are ahead of us. And before you say care homes only France include care home deaths.anyway it's not a competition - it's a global tragedy.
Those countries are in the main emerging from the worst. They are weeks ahead of us in terms of this first wave. It isn't a competition and I certainly didn't say it was. It is however necessary to face facts and not except the usual political spin and BS.

That's right and trajectory wise we are virtually on Italy's line with Spain and France above us at the same point in their epidemic. It looks like most big European countries are going to emerge with an average of 25000 to 30000 deaths. Horrific but we are all very similar.
