I think we should've been better prepared. I think stocks of PPE should have been maintained. I think over the past decade the NHS shouldn't have been hobbled. I think as the situation grew worse our PM shouldn't have been AWOL. I think this is the worse time for government spin.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, thank you for that Mytic Meg.

That's not hindsight. This type of event has been predicted for years. It's been the key risk factor in government plans above terrorism for a decade and more. These were key errors and have certainly cost unnecessary deaths, Your flippance is beyond reprehensible.

You're wrong The UK was #2 in the 2019 pandemic preparedness index Everyones plan was for influenza This may not have been Corona, it might have been a contact spread - if the next pandemic is like ebola it needs completely different kit You are wielding hindsight as a weaponpic.twitter.com/baymE7MqQ2

So allowing PPE to dwindle and become ineffective was a good plan and only bad in hindsight? How about running down the NHS? A bad idea just in hindsight? You are defending the indefensible. Exact same situation but with a Labour government you'd be screaming blue murder!
