Bless you darling. Your right! People are panic buying creating the shortage and some people are buying up produce to inflate the price by selling it themselves. You would think by now that Supermarkets would have come up with a strategy to prevent this from happening

Most supermarkets are limiting the amount you can buy.

They are trying but not succeeding very well. Pasta and pulses, eggs, loo rolls are extremely difficult to find in many local supermarkets and its only getting worse in someplace it seems. It may be good for the likes of Tesco's profits, its not so good for the elderly or anyone

They certainly left it very late to act. Your experience is the same in store as mine is online. Lots out of stock but the essentials are limited to two per order. Also very few delivery slots.

God knows what the solution would be, or how you could stop it from happening, but it is ridiculous that whilst some are stock piling, creating the crisis, others are being denied their normal daily shopping items. Its looting of sorts in these circumstances

Those that are then selling on what they've bought for personal gain are beyond disgusting. Legal ramifications for such behaviour should be considered.

Absolutely and so should hoarding supplies whilst others do without. I don't actually believe that there will ultimately be a shortage of anything as I don't really see this becoming that extreme, I certainly hope not anyway. Stay well & I hope you get shopping done
