Switzeland and Slovenia have far lower incidence of the virus than does Italy - not sure how ‘open borders’ with these countries is a contributing factor?

tourism, one factor, plus many residence from both side's commute to work.Fuel is cheaper in Slovenia, and many local italians fill up their cars and vans in Slovenia..So there are plenty of chances of Coronavirus/germs being airborne. That's all I was pointing out Christa Jackson.

There are very few cases in Slovenia. What you're implying is that due to open borders, it's easier to spread - but that doesn't explain why Italy is so high & Slovenia so low? By your reckoning, Slovenia should be much higher by now?

The fact is that the border is open, however, as was pointed out that doesn't then become a fact as to why Italy has been hit so hard.
