Do we really live in a world in which a political party can call a press conference, wave some random bits of paper, declare that they said lots of things they nowhere at all say, & yet the public will believe them?

I mean, what's to stop Johnson getting hold of Corbyn's shopping list, calling a press conference, waving it about & declaring it proves Corbyn intends to put the IRA in charge of the Greater Manchester Police, or sell GCHQ to the Iranians? That'd be just as true as the NHS thing
