It's not a foreign parliament. It's a parliament we are an equal member of.

It is a foreign Parliament that does not sit in this country, it is a foreign Parliament that we were never consulted on joining and one that we have rejected after 40 years of overall membership. Why do you campaign to deny us our right to be governed only by those we choose?

I'm saying he wasn't, at that stage, aware of the true reality.

So you're saying he only said it because he thought Remain would win? If he had a crystal ball and knew that Leave were going to win he wouldn't have said it. Is that right? So ... he was insincere IS what you are saying.

No I'm saying he was talking about a potential result whilst not, at that stage, being cognizant of the way it was achieved. It's like saying you should respect the result of a football match even if it turns out the winning team played 12 men.

So he didn't know about the slogan on the side of the bus? Or that Turkey were joining the EU any second? Maybe he didn't know about the spending that Vote Leave asked the Electoral Commission about, were told was OK, and subsequently exonerated of wrongdoing? Pull the other one.

I suppose we could focus on what Paddy did or didn't know on referendum night. We should however focus on the realities facing the country in 2019. So you going to start using #PeoplesVote on your tweets now or not?
