I should have said the illusion of more control. You believe that the EU represents a barrier others believe it represents a safety net and a set of checks and balances. The government of the day represents their policies which the majority voted for in dealing with the EU.

The EU represents a level of governance that sits above UK governance in areas of policy-making that were relinquished to the EU as a whole. Do you agree that our respected and elected politicians agreed to this at various treaty signings?

In areas of policy making regarding our membership and participation in the EU and it's institutions. We sit on the board that sets that agenda.

The British people obviously feel they would rather their politicians returned to making all UK policy instead of 'having a bit of a say' on some of it in the EU. Presumably you'd agree that the vote should be respected if Remain had won. Why object because Leave won?

For me to respect it I'd have to respect how it was achieved. It's very clear since 2016 that it was by lies, false promises, manipulation and a good old dollop of xenophobia. If it hadn't been advisory it would quite rightly overturned. However it can be resolved in a final say.

So, someone who voted to Remain decides that those who voted to Leave were misled and persuaded to vote by false promises? Do you have any idea how that comes across? It is our Parliament who are supposed to be overseeing our Leaving, were they misled? Are they still misled?

Yes. The fact that the majority have always been against your preferred form of Brexit should tell you that.

My preferred form of Leaving is to Leave with No Deal because the withdrawal agreement that was agreed between us and the EU was designed to be rejected, and eventually lead to another referendum with the intention of frightening us to keep us in. It seems to have worked on you.
