Has it crossed numpty @BorisJohnson mind that there are some parts of the country where there are literally just a few hours of daylight come December? No worse time for a tantrum election. These people are making it up as they go along. Every step a mis-step.

I work in a polling station. It is very noticeable that as soon as it gets dark voter numbers drop right off. Old folk can come in during the day so this is more likely to affect workers. But if the weather is bad or even just very cold that will reduce numbers too.

I can remember many times voting in the dark before or after l returned from work. There aren't many days in the year when it is still light at 10:00 PM. So Campbell will have to come up with a more compelling excuse.
