The vote was based on a cocktail of dreams, ambition, lies and miscalculations. Now we know the issues and have a deal on the table the electorate can make an informed choice #PeoplesVoteNow

I don’t remember the NI issue being discussed. False promises of more money for the NHS. It was supposed to be the easiest deal but look where we are. Even leading Brexiteers stated prior to the vote that any deal would need a confirmatory vote.

you have a degree in economics but don't know how supply and demand works, congrats.anyway, these are secondary points to the main arguments. whether the campaign was based on lies (which happened on both sides) or not, the point is; people voted - and that vote MUST be respected

You are in a group, lost on the savannah. You have a vote to see which way to go and pick ‘north’. You head north only to find the way blocked by a snake infested swamp. Let’s go east someone says but - wait - the vote was for north so north you must go.

The difference being with your analogy , that they actually implemented their vote and went North, only to then find it to be adversely treacherous. In the case of Brexit we have failed to make one step in the democratically chosen direction.

We've had 3.5 years of steps and have fortunately discovered the dangers before jumping into them.

We are still members. We have not made a single step. The result has not been implemented in any form. A lot of hot air has been generated by predictions of what could or might happen, should we actually leave. But until we actually do, its just guesses.

It's not just guesses but documented impact statements. The price and impact bares no relation to the sunlit uplands leave promised in 2016. To say otherwise is beyond disingenuous. Given the changed terms the electorate must reconfirm. Referendum is the best mechanism.
