Everyone should have a say in a new referendum. We are so far from the "manifestos" of 2016 it's madness to push forward without public consent on this specific issue.

Not when reality has shown that what was voted for in 2016 is so far from what is now being offered. Winning a vote promising sunlit uplands and attempting to deliver fields of shit cannot be right on any level. Not risible but basic common sense.

I certainly see your point and agree that disentangling ourselves from the political ties to the EU should be the goal. I also think, however, that the "taint" of 2016 will continue to muddy the whole process. It's why I support a legally binding and informed 2nd referendum

The Ill informed occupy large sections of both sides. As for someone saying "something about immigration" on TV it was in truth one of the main thrusts of leave. You have clearly based your vote on long held beliefs. I fear millions didn't but on the tainted campaign.
