There job is not to act as delegates but representatives. You're misunderstanding of that basic tenet is a gaping chasm in yours.

You act in their best interests according to the circumstances. That's why they have humans as MPs and not some sort of XFactor style voting system.

The whole basis of representative democracy is that MPs get put into the HoC based on the popularity of their policies. If MPs disregard those policies once elected then this no longer works. Obviously.

When circumstances change their approach has to change. In 2017 we were supposed to be heading for sunlit uplands now it's fields of shit. You expect them not to react accordingly?

Circumstances always change because the world doesn't stay the same, that is no basis for abandoning stated policy. Your characterisation of Brexit is melodramatic. Negotiations have been difficult mostly because remainers (i.e. May) were in charge for so long.

You know the MP at the start of this thread? His constituents voted to remain. He then voted against the WA. Guess he changed his mind

How is that relevant to the point I made? The referendum wasn't counted by constituency, and Steve Baker wasn't elected on the promise he'd campaign against Brexit.

He helped block leaving before the first extension. You know that right. Looks like he's changed his mind.

That's pretty obtuse. Voting against the WA is obviously not evidence that he was against Brexit.

He was against that form of Brexit. But doesn't leave mean leave? There's now a new version of leave. Is that Brexit? If a customs union is added to the WAB is that Brexit? You see the mess?
