Exactly. And this is how it'll end for them if we don't leave on the 31st!

So you're condoning violence if something that will effect generations to come takes a bit longer than promised?

You don't have to condone violence to believe something is worth fighting for. Democracy, the Will of the People, is one of those somethings. Our democracy is under siege right now by Authoritarians and we the people are scared.

This is very true. I fully respect we are in very fraught times. I may disagree with you politically but nonetheless agree with what you said. My point, though, is in the case of such momentous issues like Brexit do or die is no way to achieve anything but discord.

Thanks for your kind reply. Question: How long do you think the people should wait before they get their democracy back? I think the populace has been very tolerant of their leaders up to this point; history shows us that's not going to last much longer.

Firstly I'd argue democracy hasn't been lost. However it's clear the last 3 years have pretty much been pissed away. Resolution to what, scarily is only the beginning, of the process must come soon. I expect we'd argue what that resolution was though and the steps it would take.

Oh democracy has definitely been lost. Being denied a general election is the act of an autocracy, not a democratic state.

I won't argue the complexities surrounding a GE given the dangers of a no deal as you've no doubt heard them all before. We still have a democratically elected parliament in place, however, and they are, in my opinion, doing their democratically mandated jobs.

Doing their jobs but not doing what their manifesto said they would do. Also, lots of MPs have changed parties and are too cowardly to stand for a by-election. That's not we here in America call democracy.

Our representatives overwhelming duty is to do what's best for their constituents and the country as a whole. A no deal Brexit is the opposite of that. They are doing their jobs in preventing a no deal Brexit.

That it's bad for the country is just your opinion. What they're doing is undemocratic.

And yet they are the democratically elected representatives of this country. As for a no deal Brexit being bad that is everyone's opinion including the government who tried to sneak one through. You may think the damage is worth it to FTEU but the majority don't.

The constituents told their representatives what was best for them and their country when they voted Leave in that referendum. MPs who ignore their constituents because they know "what's best for them" are called demagogues where I live. Fascism is just around the corner.

People voted leave based upon a campaign that promised nothing but good. Those promises turned out to be false. Leave in effect produced a manifesto based on such as well as lies and a nice dollop of xenophobia. There really is no point going further in this debate. Okay?
