You don't have to condone violence to believe something is worth fighting for. Democracy, the Will of the People, is one of those somethings. Our democracy is under siege right now by Authoritarians and we the people are scared.

This is very true. I fully respect we are in very fraught times. I may disagree with you politically but nonetheless agree with what you said. My point, though, is in the case of such momentous issues like Brexit do or die is no way to achieve anything but discord.

I'm not condoning violence, I'm simply stating it's likely. As shown in history, you can only push the populace so far before they vent their frustration as a last resort because they can't rely on politicians to represent them.
