You're honestly saying that none of them voted based upon the false promises of the leave campaign? And I'm deluded? People vote based upon what is promised in a single issue poll. Those promises were lies. Given your confidence I wonder why you reject a final say🤔

David Cameron told Angela Merkel before the referendum, that we would vote leave if there were no concessions. That was before ANY campaign. Latest polls suggest very few on either side have changed their minds since. Don’t fear a second referendum just think it’s anti democratic

Read today’s bbc article and average of five different polls. It says very few have changed their minds. Anyway believe what you want and just ignore the view of the majority. Let’s hope democracy isn’t destroyed, but I fear it’s already at least hugely damaged

Let's see what a final say referendum returns. If it's leave we leave. You don't destroy democracy with more democracy.

You’ve already destroyed democracy in the eyes of many, who like me trusted what we were told, even by remain politicians, that a majority vote would be implemented. It hasn’t been and any second vote before it is, is a further betrayal of that trust.

Did you trust what you were told by the leave campaign?

What answer is that to the point I made? You can keep returning to the old ‘leavers are all stupid and were lied to’ rhetoric all you want. Go back to how this feed started. It’s that arrogance, and belief that you know better than more than half the country, that is the problem

Me personally? I most certainly don't believe that. I want to see the whole country given a final say. The electorate was lied to and manipulated in 2016. It now knows more. It's not me or you or them it's all of us.

Well ok if you want to believe that do. Personally I don’t think anything’s changed in three years nor have most peoples views. Not sure what you think we’ve all learned other than the EU is even more corrupt, undemocratic and headed towards a superstate than even we imagined

Well then a final say will confirm that one way or another. No more doubts about the actual will of the people. No more questions about the legitimacy of 2016. Referendum, result then implementation.

There are no questions about the legitimacy from anyone except some remainers. If you were right, real democrats on both sides would be clamouring for a re run and guess what even many who voted remain are not doing so and abhor this undemocratic stance as much as I do.

The question of legitimacy is very clear in the reality of where we are now. None of the promises made by leave have occurred. The money they promised for the NHS upon leaving doesn't exist. Sunlit uplands are now fields of shit. How more illegitimate do you need it to be!?
