The vote was based on lies and false promises made by the leave campaign. This has been made clearer and clearer over the last 3 years. You may have voted leave based on your long held beliefs concerning the EU but millions did not they voted based on the campaign.

Keep trying to convince yourself. It simply isn’t true. ‘leave means leave’ and the potential consequences were rammed down our throats by remain and the media in project fear, but people saw through it. We’d all prefer a good deal but if not democracy must prevail or it will die

Democracy won't die in a final say referendum. Where are the sun lit uplands, the easiest and best deals ever, us holding all the cards? Talking of fear what happened to the Turkish invasion? There was even a lie on the side of a bus. Yet nothing changed right?

I talk to many remainers and I’m very aware of why they voted. I’m not sure many remainers, even senior ones, have actually bothered finding out why leavers voted. They just continue to tell us we’re stupid and didn’t know what we were voting for. Sorry you’re deluded

You're honestly saying that none of them voted based upon the false promises of the leave campaign? And I'm deluded? People vote based upon what is promised in a single issue poll. Those promises were lies. Given your confidence I wonder why you reject a final say

David Cameron told Angela Merkel before the referendum, that we would vote leave if there were no concessions. That was before ANY campaign. Latest polls suggest very few on either side have changed their minds since. Don’t fear a second referendum just think it’s anti democratic

Read today’s bbc article and average of five different polls. It says very few have changed their minds. Anyway believe what you want and just ignore the view of the majority. Let’s hope democracy isn’t destroyed, but I fear it’s already at least hugely damaged

Let's see what a final say referendum returns. If it's leave we leave. You don't destroy democracy with more democracy.

You’ve already destroyed democracy in the eyes of many, who like me trusted what we were told, even by remain politicians, that a majority vote would be implemented. It hasn’t been and any second vote before it is, is a further betrayal of that trust.

Did you trust what you were told by the leave campaign?
