Hilary Benn - Johnson wants a Canada style FTA.. & I won't support that, as it's economically damaging... but I will allow a deal through provided it goes back to the British people... as no one knows if they've changed their minds.. so I think we should ask them.

‘I will allow’ who the hell do you think you are to challenge the democratic will of 17.4 million of your fellow citizens. You are arrogance personified

He's not challenging the "democratic will of 17.4 million" but seeking to enable the entire electorate to have a final say in light of what we all now know.

We’ve all known from the start mate. We voted leave unconditionally. That is democracy no matter how the minority try and convince themselves otherwise. 70% or so of voters then confirmed that by voting for parties at the GE with leave manifestos. Shame some have reneged on that

The vote was based on lies and false promises made by the leave campaign. This has been made clearer and clearer over the last 3 years. You may have voted leave based on your long held beliefs concerning the EU but millions did not they voted based on the campaign.

Keep trying to convince yourself. It simply isn’t true. ‘leave means leave’ and the potential consequences were rammed down our throats by remain and the media in project fear, but people saw through it. We’d all prefer a good deal but if not democracy must prevail or it will die

Democracy won't die in a final say referendum. Where are the sun lit uplands, the easiest and best deals ever, us holding all the cards? Talking of fear what happened to the Turkish invasion? There was even a lie on the side of a bus. Yet nothing changed right?
