But if that makes the entire country considerably worse off, why would that be in our best interests?

What a joke, so if we elect a PM after 3 years we can say oh well that was 3 years ago, time for a change! Leave WON so that’s what parliament should concentrate on!

If, in that time, it turns out all the promises were lies and going forward his/her premiership would damage the country then yes. We'd expect our representatives to remove that person.

The opposition leaders have an opportunity to win a vote of no confidence and call a General Election. They have not exercised that and perhaps they should.

Exactly, because they know if they lost and Boris got a bigger majority it would have been bad for them! Corbyn was calling for a GE non stop but declined when offered unless Boris took leave with no deal out.

By that you mean it would have been bad for the opposition MPs if the people again voted to do something that they don’t want to countenance? What happened to MPs being representatives of the people?

In preventing a no deal they are representing the people.

Haha haha what sort of logic is that? Maybe you missed the referendum result. Oh well, will see soon enough or whenever the cowards agree to a general election.

It's the sort of logic shown in every poll. No deal has no mandate.
