Really? The WA is a slow and steady disentangling from a 40+ year relationship. No deal is ripping it all asunder. The government weren't spending billions on mitigating the WA. Oh and only idiots who the see the EU as our enemy call it surrender.

With the way the EU are acting one would easily be led to believe they are the enemy and not friends as they purport to be. The WA is a long drawn out way of keeping us tied to them for ever. We see things differently.

The EU are acting in the interests of the members of the EU as they should. They seem to be more concerned with the lives and livelihoods of us in the UK than you appear to be. Certainly more than the manipulators behind Brexit. The WA is a necessary process.

Why do you think that our whole survival is reliant on our membership to the EU. We have only been members of the EU for a very minimal time when you consider our trading history. If we leave and stop our contributions who is going to make up the shortfall?

I don't think our survival is reliant on the EU. Their survival is also not reliant on us. We are however stronger together. Nationalism and exceptionalism are concepts of the past and should stay there.

When you consider the Majority of the members are not net contributors and Germany and France being the largest net contributors it's obvious that money plays a big part. That's one of the many reason why the EU NEED the UK.

Is that why we hold all the cards and have gotten the easiest deals ever....oh no wait.

Like I said - May came back with a deal that suited the EU and did nothing for the UK at all. Take no deal off the table and what do you have? Another EU deal.

May came back with a withdrawal agreement. A mechanism for withdrawal. The political declaration outlined future relationships but clearly with no legal weight. The deal stage hasn't even started. Do you think on November 1st it will all be sorted? We need a WA or revoke.

No - what we need is WTO rules. End of the problem for the UK and I bet it would cost us less in tariffs than we are contributing to the EU every year.

Then you clearly don't understand the facts. We benefit from our membership of both the single market and customs union far more than we contribute. 1/2

          Replying to @ElJeppy @GlennMaxfield and

Plans to prop up businesses to mitigate no deal damage will also break WTO rules. Beyond lies, unicorns and dinosaur jingoism there is no benefit to leaving. You can reflect on that whilst we cull thousands of sheep 2/2

British Steel went to the wall because the UK government were stopped from propping it up because it deemed it unfair to the EU. I'll take WTO any day over the EU. Don't forget what it started of as and how it changed in 1992. We should have had a vote then
