I expect loads of people to call his language disrespectful without giving any evidence that what he said wasn't factual.

Well since setting up a government after a VONC is exactly what the process allows it's not in any way shape or form a coup.

Wresting control from HMRC to prevent us leaving the EU despite triggering the EU and voting down the only EU-recognised deal multiple times seems undemocratic to me.

Well you'll be shocked to learn it's not. We live in a representative democracy and those people acting are our (currently) democratically elected representatives.

Is any of that representative vs delegation stuff codified in law? Because right now I'd love an election because my MP has change rosette colour a few times since I voted for her and I feel voiceless

Much of it is common law. The supremacy of parliament was most recently upheld by the supreme court. You are right though an election is certainly required. The minefield of Brexit, however, makes when pretty contentious.

I feel like all sides would benefit with some fresh faces in parliament, and for any new government formed to do so after winning an election rather than during the current parliamentary term (ergo without an election).

I agree the current parliament is beyond broken. My concern though, is an election based purely on Brexit.

I'd rather it wasn't too, because we had many problems that were overdue in needing sorting even before the referendum. However I think it's kind of inevitable that any future election with have that new dividing line - and so I don't think it should stop us.

Same, I think all of us regardless of political opinion are getting an awful lot of second hand stress from all the drama of Westminster.
