What is wrong with nationalism? I love my country and do not ever want it to become something else culturally. That is not "racism", but it is "culturalism", and that is an absolutely correct type of -ism.
One of the core threads running through Brexit is "we can't trust foreigners" being proud of your country is one thing, denigrating others from a perceived position of superiority quite another.
