I too am a remainer but will be voting for the Brexit Party. Why, because I am voting for democracy. Whether I like it or not, the result was in favour of leaving, end of story. Women and Chartists fought and died for the right to vote, we must protect our democracy.

The result did not specify how we should leave and there does not appear to be a majority for any specific form of leaving, either in parliament or among the public - but the only way to know that for sure would be to have a

What we have in the UK is a representative parliamentary democracy, one that dates back 800 years. We do not have direct democracy like they had in ancient Athens.

And those representatives have overwhelmingly rejected a no deal Brexit. Since there has never been anything like a clear mandate for one. Thursday will not change that.

I understand remain lied and made many unattainable promises. Reality hit. All of a sudden with no valid argument for no deal they go with stab in the back. 2016 all sunlit uplands now 30 years of pain and WWII sacrifices. Thursday will sadly show such manipulation is effective.
