The 2016 referendum and the reason Cameron called it was directly linked to him wanting to protect the Tories. External factors to that clearly existed. Without those internecine struggles he wouldn't have done it.

As you are clearly pro EU. Two questions: 1) where do the EU sit to vote ? 2) where is the official home of the EU (don’t google it as that’s cheating) they are not trick questions - just would to get to know your understanding of the EU - hence no googling the answers

Well I went to the HQ in Brussels 3 years ago but I've watched the EU also sit in Strasbourg on CSPAN.
