It's not worse than the economic fractures that no deal would cause. WTO we would be one voice out of 164. It's also an unelected body. You can see why clarity is needed. Brexit means Brexit isn't a fully rounded policy.

Actually my main argument is that as a member of the EU we are better off trade wise than out of it. It's not pessimism but realism. You'd have to believe we would get better deals as an individual rather than a collective. Market size alone makes such belief false.

Bit anecdotal but hey. So in answer to my question how much damage should we inflict on ourselves and biggest trading partner? How many years under WTO? How damaged will our negotiating position be?
