MPs have voted 315 to 310 in favour of a bill to rule out leaving with no deal. Has it finally got through to Tory Brexiteers that in the absence of a deal the legal default position would NOT be leaving with no deal?

I can’t speak for everyone, but I do remember being told by the media and politicians that the country would basically collapse if we voted to leave. I assume the others heard the same.
That's a very good point and project fear was pure arrogance on behalf of remain. The argument should have been on the EU benifits. The dangers of no deal are far more measurable, though, and need to be avoided.

Well to the extent that both sides were not explaining the benefits of remaining or leaving. There is no EU status quo and ever closer ties to the EU isn’t good. The common market was good, hijacked by politicians

Yep the federal thrust of the EU has been very concerning. I have seen our membership as a counterbalance to that, though. We live in interesting times and I still remain optimistic a balanced path exists.
