It’s not that I didn’t read at all, but it was maybe three or four books a year. So at the end of 2018 and especially at the beginning of 2019, I made a conscious effort to read more.

This started with some books I got for Christmas but really took off when I started getting ebooks from
@wpglibrary, and reading on my phone...on the bus and in spare moments at home. And I did something new: I tracked what I read. No reason, no goal, just to see.Prikaži ovu nit -
Final counts are... 38 books finished, 1 started and abandoned. 26 fiction, 12 non-fiction. 22 ebooks, 16 physical. 8 books that I own, 29 from
@wpglibrary, 1 borrowed from elsewhere. 5 that I’ve read before, 33 that were new to me.Prikaži ovu nit -
3 of the books I read in 2019 were brand spanking new releases from
@wpglibrary; at least two of them were books that I requested the library purchase (thanks@GretchenAMcC for teaching me that you could do that!)Prikaži ovu nit -
4 books were written by people I follow on Twitter: • How To Invent Everything, by
@ryanqnorth • This Is How You Die, edited by@malki and@ryanqnorth (and also@mbennardo) • Because Internet, by@GretchenAMcC • You Look Like A Thing And I Love You, by@JanelleCShanePrikaži ovu nit -
At least four more were recommended to my by people I follow on Twitter, so that’s a healthy chunk of my reading for the year...thanks, Twitter, you did something useful!

Anyway probably nobody cares about this but since it’s the new year it seemed like now was the time to do something with this big list of books that I have on my phone. Happy New Year everyone!
