This open letter is shameful. A summary of all the neo-Lefebvrist arguments that have been circulating online for the last four or five years, including some that are just pure conspiracy theory (they even bring up the 'Stang'). I feel sorry for those that signed.

Fr. Nichols, O.P., is only one of the well-credentialed signatories. (He has the best reputation for good scholarship.) This letter is being ignored by 'both sides,' as it's inconvenient for everyone in influential/vulnerable positions.
