Great day in beautiful Chesham & Amersham. I've known our candidate, Sarah Green, for nearly 20 years. She'll be a fantastic local MP.

  2. . is the first MP in our parliament from Palestinian descent, I’m proud of the work she is doing. I agree with every word of this piece - and hope the government take note 👇

  3. This is appalling. Antisemitism has no place in our country. And no antisemite can ever claim to further the cause of the Palestinian people.

  9. Boris Johnson must confirm the bereaved families will be fully involved with the Covid inquiry - including in finalising its remit. If he fails, he could create a generational injustice as we saw with Hillsborough, forcing bereaved families to campaign for decades for justice.

Liberal Democrats welcome this inquiry in spite of it being 13 months after we first called for it.  We must have a full & properly independent inquiry that has the trust of the public especially of those who have lost a loved one to this terrible disease.

  11. This is welcome news. The PM must meet with the bereaved families immediately so they are at the very heart of this inquiry.

PM Boris Johnson says an inquiry into the government’s handling of the Covid pandemic will happen within this session of Parliament “I do believe that it’s essential that we have a full, proper, public inquiry,” he tells Lib Dem leader Ed Davey

  15. BREAKING: the PM has just told me, he will start an independent inquiry into the Government’s handling of Covid, in this parliamentary session - ie in the next 12 months. We’ll hold him to account on behalf of our country’s bereaved families - so they can get answers & justice.

  16. It's crushingly disappointing that the Government’s plans will fail on every account: ❌Failing small businesses and the self-employed ❌Failing to rise to the climate emergency ❌Ignoring millions of people caring for loved ones

  17. The Government have promised time and time again that they'll fix the problem with social care, but they've failed to deliver. With social care services in crisis, it is high time the Government acted. ⬇️

  18. Boris Johnson must listen to carers like Elaine. Let’s work cross-party to agree a real long-term solution to guarantee everyone the high-quality social care they need.
