Today during the #HolocaustMemorialDay debate in Parliament I shared some of Gerda Weissmann Klein's story, who was only 18 when she was sent to a concentration camp.

I find Gerda's story incredibly moving. If the qualities of friendship, love and caring can exist even amidst all that horror of a Nazi concentration camp, in the middle of the Holocaust, they can certainly exist now, no matter how difficult things are.
