The science says we are on track to see 500k deaths because #TheyJustDontCare but if we had done everything right it would have been 250k deaths.
#250kAvoidableDeaths
Why aren't people shocked?
How this can't be anything other than another huge national scandal?

You're right, Ed. "Ramping up" tests, esp for frontline NHS staff should have started a month ago. The PM was vaguely saying 8 days ago (19/3/20): "we're ramping up daily testing from 5,000 a day, to 10,000 to 25,000 and then up at 250,000". Thank you
@JulianHeather1, at that rate (14, 000 tests per day), it will take 11 years to test the#UK population. What do they think that they are up to? Why are the journalists not saying that this is unacceptable? While 1000's die round the world, we have these low numbers? - Show replies

The thing is that the staff in the laboratories doing the testing, just like other healthcare workers such as doctors and nurses, are trying their very best to meet the demands of this pandemic. The
#ClapForCarers was for them too don't forget.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Rolling out? Will that be a fast roll, or will coronavirus be forgotten b4 any substantial numbers actually do get tested. This is exactly the woolly language we expect. No real commitment and full of loopholes.
