Our approach:
Raise level of SSP
Extend SSP to the 2m people earning below £118/wk, currently excluded
By guaranteeing incomes for self-employed, boosting sick pay to £220wk for everyone & raising out of work benefits, govt would in effect create a temp Citizen's Income

Help for self employed has to avoid the trap of universal credit. There is no fucking way I am signing up for that. They have my tax return. They can designate discretionary payments into my bank account.
