Idea for @TeamYouTube to consider:
For old material newly violating TOS because the TOS on site has changed, instead of accounts getting strikes, the material should simply be removed if the violation is for stuff made before the new TOS were publicized.

Can't see how retroactively applying TOS would be possible from a legal perspective. Imagine a government passing law and the retroactively applying punishment according to past cases. The uproar would be immense.

Isn't it interesting how, when e.g. big pharma overcharges medications, or some factory pollutes the environment etc., you won't hear about "muh private company", but then it's "greed". It's just when it's about ideas, speech, expressions... muh private companies get defended.
