Well, I was gonna complain that it's such an outdated code phrase and TVs are super cheap these days but I guess it's silly to be like "If you're gonna clutch pearls, clutch them accurately!!!"

I was reading stuff about CRTs a while back, and the last company making them stopped in 2015. So literally no-one is manufacturing CRTs anymore [at least not general-purpose television tubes, there might still be like crt oscilloscopes or something]

Little factoid: Commodore Business Machines (of Commodore 64 fame) at one time controlled flat panel manufacturing in the US, but sold it off after a competitor told the CEO that nobody would buy them.
