Sexual assault is a terrible thing. Its victims suffer grievously. It's precisely b/c sexual assault is so terrible that it is deeply unjust when someone is mistakenly (even good-faith mistakenly) accused of having committed it. Everyone should rejoice when the mistake is found.

You’re wrong. Plain and simple. Dems are the only ones that care about the truth for the victim. If Kavanaugh is innocent, the investigation would clear him. The GOP is hiding his record. For what reason? Don’t they know this cloud will hang over him his whole lifetime term?

People who believe in truth and justice will surely rejoice. Will Brett Kavanaugh receive the apologies he’ll be due? Will the media do a mea culpa? No.

FBI already investigated when he was nominated. If she chooses, she can present a formal complain to the police. FBI investigates federal crimes.

It’s unlikely that she misremembers an acquaintance who tried to rape her. Memory research suggests that extreme stress enhances memory for the *central* aspects of an emotional experience, but stress hormones can cause errors in a person’s recollection of peripheral details.

Then she would at least remember who’s party it was at, as a victim of an attempted sexual assault I remember every detail. I certainly didn’t need a therapist to help me remember! You post goes against the credibility of her claim.

Dude! Welcome to innocence work! I know a bunch of guys serving life at Angola who are demonstrably innocent. Or—imagine this—being way too harshly punished for something they did when they were 17!!! Can’t wait to hear from you.
