    The case in question is every bit as Dickensian as it reads. He's a brilliant young man, his resilience amazes me. He deserves better than he's previously got. Absolutely anything you can spare will help.

    PLS I BEG U, MAKE A GOOD PRESS KIT So many games have no available key art -- that's what sites are going to use as the main image for your game. Make sure to add a version of your key art without the logo or text on it!!

    game devs!! press kits are super important for pitching to press, content creators, etc. easy info AND better chance of coverage. ways I've seen press kits done: - well managed Dropbox - integrating - and now this great Notion template from Kris!

    This is a good piece, but really wincing at the use of "child pornography" throughout it. It's images of children being horribly abused; porn is something consenting adults use. What the piece means is CSAM - child sexual abuse material.

    I interviewed for a gig at LucasArts waaaay back when I was starting out in animation. The interviewer said to me, "You don't take the job at LucasArts for the job at LucasArts. You take it for the the job 'after' LucasArts." So I just skipped directly to the 'after' part.

    Gamedev friends: What's the thing a coworker told you that made you realize your career/job was dead at a studio or that you had no movement possible? For me, my lead at Epic once told me in a 1-on-1: "Epic doesn't grow people, we take people that are already grown"

    Once again, for those in the back: Climate change is real. Humans are causing it. It is fixable, with the tech we have now. Fixing it is far, far cheaper than not fixing it. The longer we wait, the more we lose. The longer we wait, the more expensive it gets.

    A key IPCC finding: “There are no geophysical or biogeochemical barriers stopping us from stabilising the climate” We can do it, it will save lots of $, and it will greatly reduce toxic air pollution.
