We do need to set that standard and teenagers need to understand there is going to be a social cost to being racist PoS. People in the transitional period might feel it is unfair to be caught in changing standards but it is for the better of our society long-term.
I'm still wary. My 35 year career has been working with teens and young adults. We should be careful of expecting the same responsibilities from them as we do adults. All of the research says their brains are not capable of that.
Is it your position that teenagers should be treated the same as adults in all situations or only when 'saying racist s**t'?
And how long do we exclude them from certain positions? For the rest of their lives? Can they ever change? I don't get this at all

True and there’s also a generation who thinks mean is cool and I’m glad that we are finally going in the opposite direction. Hopefully we’ll find some middle ground, where there is forgiveness and someone doesn’t have to lose their entire life for bad behavior.
