Imagine what our space program could accomplish if billionaires just paid their fair share. Tax the rich.

Instead of take a big blue d!%$ to space. @JeffBezos should have used the money he saved from not paying his fair share of taxes...to wipe out all the teacher @amazon wishlists. As a teacher..I surely could use that. Instead of playing out his childhood fantasy of playing an 👨‍🚀

Should we really be dumping money into the space program before a #GreenNewDeal or universal healthcare? What good does space travel do if people on Earth are still poor?

You're both right but I think the point is that after M4A/GND (etc.), w the increase in growth, happiness, quality of life and success it would generate, we could have a worthwhile thrust into space. As a treat As it is now? Why bother?

When Bezos's describes things like space colonies his intent is not a Utopian one of saving the planet. What he wants is office parks or captive-labor towns in space where he amazon controls everything air, water, food, heat, and even light. Same with Elon Musk and Mars.

I think the billionaires have already bailed on earth because of the generation they grew up in / how old they are, when in fact I think the world needs to come together to achieve cleaner air for everyone by using 100% clean energy, & improving the quality of life for the poor
