Sure. It's "confirmation bias" to point out that peer review isn't automatic validation of an idea. It's often just a cheap appeal to authority fallacy - as I've already said.

Can you point out specifically where he said peer review was automatic validation? He said no peer review can be dismissed because what is asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence not everything that is published and has some form of peer review is valid

That's not how the "appeal to authority" fallacy works. It's like this: Citing Einstein on your paper about gravity = not an appeal to authority Citing Einstein in your recipe for raisin cake = appeal to authority (unless of course, Einstein made a killer raisin cake)
