San Francisco certainly can be a guiding light, a world-class city and pattern for our nation- in a positive, orderly, functioning, respectful, high quality of life manner. Won’t take much, beyond removal of all City Hall leaders and mass resigning/arrest of corrupt dpt heads

Chesa decriminalized pissing and defecating in public, but you can still be cited for not picking up after your dog. Great reform.

San francisco did away with public toilets because it decided that it couldn't charge in a fair and equitable way. The need to charge fairly superseeding the need to shit and pee in the eyes of the government. We are experiencing the stupidest thing on the planet relearning this.

I'm curious to hear your solution! SF has 20,000 unhoused residents and 25 24-hour bathrooms. Do you think citing unhoused people will keep them from urinating in public?

A refugee camp with this few number of restrooms, and sanitary facilities would be cited by the UN as a human rights abuse. Their inability to pay does not superseded their need to excrete, if we want clean street we have to provide plentiful bathrooms.
