But are they wrong to vilify female genital mutilation?
-
They have no moral basis if the looj the other way for male genital cutting, you can't oppose one and support the other
-
Nobody here said the support male genital mutilation, they are fighting for a cause that affects them. If you support male genital mutilation as a guy, that’s your cup of tea but WOMEN want to stop femal genital mutilation and that is fine.
-
Are these acts not also carried out by other women, or their own wants are inconsequential?
-
Yes, The campaign is directed at those who perpetrate the act. And once these perpetrators realize this, the act will stop hopefully.
-
So an alternative is to advocate for safer practice, standardised the process, so they are not forced to use crude methods. So they can easily get the process done by medical experts same way doctors carry out circumcisions
-
They don’t want o!!!
-
If you say some don't want to be cut, fine and good. But in a case where some feel culturally and religiously bound to it, why would you deny them that right?, why do you feel you have the right to impose the rights of 'some' on all of the people
