    an animator friend of mine who worked on some extremely significant projects in the anime industry, when asked what his favorite overseas anime was went very quiet and told me, very seriously, “King of the Hill. It is a perfect masterpiece. I can never match this performance.”

    I wonder if there’s one Japanese otaku who’s just really into Doctor Katz and like none of his friends get it.

    Republicans demanding that accountability is “divisive” and that we must “move on” from the attack on our country without recourse are taking a page from the playbooks of abusers. It’s sadly unsurprising. After 4 years of fealty to Trump, it seems many GOP have turned into him.

    "The reason I'm getting emotional in this moment is because these folks who tell us to move on, these are the same tactics of abusers,"  said about some GOP lawmakers who have suggested it's time to "move on" from the January 6 attack.

    It's not about what is "enough," it's about suppressing the vote. The GOP can't win on policy, since it has nothing other than white fragility and grievance, which is not enough to win in a fair election. So from their view fair elections have to go.

    WTF, an ID card/drivers license presented when registering to vote should be enough, then if you are on the rolls on Election Day, you vote. I don’t have 2 photo IDs, for that you’d need a passport, and many cannot afford them.I have 2 expired passports & they can’t be used as ID
