Earth, Wind & Fire’s Tweets

I think this might be my favorite picture of Nichelle Nichols - she visited the set of Star Trek: The Next Generation to spend some time with Mae Jemison, who played a transporter tech. And who was also the first African American woman in space, a career inspired by Uhura.
Nichelle Nichols in a white blouse and black jacket, in the hallway set of the USS Enterprise-D, talking with a tall, slender black woman in an engineering uniform (Mae Jemison).
Mae Jemison's official NASA photo, in orange flight suit, holding her helmet, and smiling.

#FBF The era of portable stereos swept in the arrival of a new decade, so we appeared in television commercials for Panasonic Platinum from 1980 to 1983. Did we ever physically appear in any other commercials?

We were on our tour bus when we heard news of Carlos collapsing on stage. It was really hot up on stage tonight. We began to pray and were blessed by the video’s on social media that show him waving at fans as he left the stage. We’ll continue to pray that it wasn’t serious 🙏🏿❤️

Wow, just landed after 6 hours of no Wi-Fi on plane to read the news. It’s time (once again for the fatigued) to learn there is no letting up at ANY point. There is no more “ignore the news/willfully ignorant & will just work itself out eventually” y’all better get serious people

Five planets are moving into a rare alignment, which will be visible from Earth this week. Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn are lining up — in that order — and on Friday, June 24, the phenomenon will be the most visible to stargazers.
