I sense that the communities along the Cascadia fault are fairly unprepared for a major event, especially considering its destructive capacity. Is there a specific fault or location that worries you most, globally, in terms of population density/ unprepared/ quake potential?

Another 120 ETS tremors (not felt) on north-central today, and nearly 500 in just over a week. All friendly reminders of a subduction zone. What is ETS? PNSN tremor monitor:

After big earthquakes, long-period surface waves keep circling the globe for DAYS. Here's a continuous wavelet transform of two days of data from GSN station IU.ANMO following Tuesday's M7.7 in the Caribbean.

The 1692 Jamaican Earthquake that sunk Port Royal; which was considered as the capital city of Jamaica at the time, took place on the Enriquillo-Plantain Garden Fault Zone. That is the same Fault responsible for the devastating 2010 Haiti Earthquake.

A M4.6 earthquake just hit a few minutes ago ~14 miles N of Barstow. This area saw a mild-moderate increase in stress from the Ridgecrest EQ sequence (red circles is *very* epicenter location). Is it connected? We’ll see?

What they are missing, is that regardless of the O-Zone, solar particles have been heating the Arctic due to the movement of the magnetic pole and weakening of the field. The sun also had an incredibly active century, highest in 12,000 years.
