So wait a sec... Just so I understand... American corporations have contacted the US government and said, "Damnit, we're not allowed to bribe, please fix this!" Is that correct? Sounds like Trump's "people say..." bullsh*t to me

Yes, companies actually complain about this because they say it gives companies that can offer bribes an unfair advantage. Also, under FCPA, companies are responsible for what their vendors do on their behalf so they can't get away from being responsible for any bribes.

Some companies have also complained they’d like to pay $2 an hour and offer no benefits and employ children. Look into that too

My dad helped draft the first version of that bill, working for John Heinz until the day he died. Believe it or not, my dad is not a Republican anymore.

The follow up question should have been, “ Who? Which companies have complained about not being able to bribe people overseas?”

I’d think of a company is complaining about not being able to@make bribes overseas I’d be referring their name to the FBI because that’s apparently how they do business here.

According to Parnas, Trump and his legal team offered, as part of a quid pro quo, to drop FCPA charges currently pending against Dmitri Firtash, a Russian oligarch. If true, it shows how Trump is already blatantly disregarding the law - and that’s already scary.
