I’ve read that many did so to insure SCOTUS makes a ruling to put this to bed once and for all. It would serve them to make this clear, if true. Otherwise they are standing in an ugly shadow.

I have to say, that's been the hardest part of this whole thing.. listening to people I love and respect say things that, in any other circumstances, would be Cuckoo for Coco Puffs.. Trying to just let it pass, hoping they eventually come back to where they were
