That was actually EXTREMELY thoughtless tbh. Disappointing of whoever's idea it was, and very disrespectful to Harada and Bandai Namco. Faking an insane reveal and tease for a character as huge as Snake, then ripping it away could easily damage people's Tekken 7 Season 3 hype.
Just to clear things up, the Snake cameo video that we showed during Tekken finals was our idea of a little joke. It was not intended to imply a character reveal, and was done on our own, without consulting Bandai Namco. Sorry for any confusion!

Why not have Goku call the audience from King Kai's planet during the Smash Ultimate Top 8 while you're at it and call it a joke? Many people may not even see this "apology" of yours and still think Snake is coming, leading to bad rep for Namco when he doesn't come.
