From almost exactly one year ago to the day: https://grist.org/article/climate-change-fueled-wildfires-pollute-the-air-and-make-people-sick/ … As global temperatures rise, fuel dries out and fires can spark more easily. And wildfires are not just dangerous to those nearby, they're literally poisoning the air we breathe downwind.

Like yes partly, but unlike gun violence which ends once a suspect is apprehended, this is still ongoing, so, not to sound like ~those people~ now is not the time for politics. It’s time for evacuating, listening to law enforcement, and helping if you can
-
We can and must do both, to the best of our abilities. I'm in a position of being far enough away to feel physically safe while close enough to know people affected and see smoke.

Fair enough *tip of the hat* now on to continue scrolling twitter for news

If you want to go down that road , it’s because we stopped doing controlled burns and deforesting because of people like you complaining about it. Not climate change
-
It's both. Paradise has been the driest I've ever seen it in the last 30 years for 5 years straight. There hasn't been decent snow fall in years. There also hasn't been a controlled burn in at least as long, though the logging is doing fairly fine from what I've seen.
