Ours is the era of inadequate AI alignment theory. Any other facts about this era are relatively unimportant, but sometimes I tweet about them anyway.

Which of these are most likely to still be worth substantial amounts in 20 years?

AGI will obviously prefer Bitcoin Cash or Ethereum to BTC, so probably D. (But absent AGI accelerating as fast as you expect, I actually think C is a strong contender. The current inadequate signalling equilibrium is going to be really hard to disrupt.)

Given the information in both images, keeping social security solvent is likely to be one of the issues no politician will be against. I don’t think anything will be « worth » something if in 20 years we have an AGI

I ignored D because I don’t have a clue what the timeline will be, think >20 years is at least plausible, and think the economics question is more interesting handled separately.

and i hold out against ideas on computerized omnipotence regarding this time frame on the basis that the input data is limited to what you can give it, what it can sense on it's own, and what it can figure out on it's own. - which i don't think will be reached in 20 years

Close results. I agree that bachelor is the least likely. Poll audience is biased torwards option 4. To me it’s between 1 and 2.

Depends on meaning of 'worth'. I predict bachelors won't mean much but not having it will be bad.

That's what it means to have substantial worth.

does having graduated highschool have substantial worth? People who don't tend to do notably badly. HS graduation alone though is of limited value due to degree inflation but it's like asking if the bottom step on a ladder has any worth because few stand on it while working.
